Cancellation Policy

You can cancel any DefamationLock® subscription at any time. This Policy explains how cancellations work, when service ends, and what happens to your data and DLOCK Code™ vault.

1. Membership Cancellation (Division 1)

  • Cancel anytime from your Member Portal under Settings → Billing, or open the Request Center and choose Cancellation.
  • Cancellation stops the next 6-month renewal. You retain full access to monitoring, AI agent, NDA vault, and response services through the end of your paid term.
  • You will receive an email confirmation. If you do not receive one within 24 hours, contact us — your cancellation is not effective without confirmation.

2. Provider Subscriptions (Division 2)

  • Providers may cancel their membership tier and lead-credit auto-top-up at any time from the Provider Console.
  • You remain listed and able to receive routed leads through the end of your paid month/term.
  • Unredeemed lead credits remain usable until the credit expiration date stated at purchase.

3. NDA ON DEMAND™ Plans

  • Monthly and annual NDA plans renew automatically. Cancel from the NDA Dashboard or via support.
  • Your vault remains accessible read-only for 30 days after cancellation so you can export documents and audit trails before storage ends.
  • Extended vault retention can be purchased separately if you need long-term storage of signed NDAs and their DLOCK Codes.

4. Consultations & Scheduled Sessions

  • Reschedule or cancel a Certified DLOCK Advisor consultation at least 24 hours in advance for a full credit back to your account.
  • Cancellations under 24 hours, or no-shows, forfeit the session fee.
  • Emergency engagements once accepted by a Provider cannot be cancelled without the Provider's agreement.

5. What Happens to Your Data

  • Your account, alerts history, evidence files, and reports remain accessible through the paid term.
  • After your final paid day, the account moves to read-only for 30 days for export, then is scheduled for deletion subject to legal-retention requirements (tax, fraud, dispute).
  • Your DLOCK Code™ remains valid for verification of past transactions even after account closure, unless you specifically request revocation.

6. Reactivation

You can reactivate within 90 days of cancellation without losing your historical case data and DLOCK Code™ profile. After 90 days, you can create a new account, but historical data may no longer be recoverable.

7. Refunds on Cancellation

Cancelling stops future charges; it does not automatically issue a refund for the current term. Refund eligibility is governed by our Refund Policy.
